Happy Fall everyone! I know it's not here yet but it sure feels like it is coming. We have 8 shows this fall and you can see them all on our "Show Schedule" page. We will be exibiting at 4 Gem shows; Ottawa, Ancaster, Toronto and Montreal as well as 4 other shows; Bead Oasis, Solo show in Quebec, TBS Bead Fair, and Ottawa Glass Bead show.

We have plenty of courses offered on Saturday when we are not all away at show.

I have added some new items to the online store. You can find 4 new Swarovski Crystal colours, Rainbow Jasper, Kyanite, Antique Black Agate as well as sticks in 13 different stones. Keep you eyes out on our news letter for upcoming events as well as Design contests and more.

Well summer is well underway and boy is it ever hot!! Why not cool off this summer with one of our courses. Schedule now out for the August to December sessions. Sign up soon as spaces are limited and fill up quickly.

We will be at 2 shows this month, Sudbury Gem and Mineral Show as well as the Rockhound Gembouree in Bancroft. Please remember that if there is anything special you would like us to bring for you to the show, all you have to do is ask and we will have it set aside for you.

HST-There have been some changes to our wholesale eligibility in Ontario and British Columbia with the implementation of the Harmanized Sales Tax. Please read the information in our July Newsletter if you are currently a wholesale customer or if you would like to become one.

The year seems to be going by so fast!! Spring has arrived and things are changing here at Canada Beading Supply.

***WE ARE MOVING!!!! Not to worry just 2 buildings West of our current location. We will be closed Monday March 29th and Tuesday March 30th, there will be no shipping on these days. We will re-open in the new location 210 Colonnade Rd. Unit 12B on Wednesday March 31st.***

Co-locating with us in the new location will be Grace Edwards, know as Lauscha Lady. Her new store will be called The Glass Shoppe and she will have torches where you can create your own glass beads.

***Bead Bop Passports will be ready for sale on April 1st. For a small fee of $10.00, you can received a discount at 5 area bead stores for a special week in May. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We hope that everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. As we are all getting back into the swing of things, there are a few things that we wanted to keep you posted on.

* Mark your Calendars! The dates have officially been confirmed and the 2010 Ottawa Bead Bop will be held April 30th to May 8th. Passports will be ready for sale starting April 1st. 

* Classes will start up again in a few weeks. Sign up soon as the spaces are filling up.

The snow is falling and the holidays are approaching. Don't forget that the Holiday Design Contest closes on December 13th, so get your submissions in soon.

This draw applies to both wholesale and retail orders as well as in store and online orders. Everyone has the chance to enter.

Sale, Sale, Sale. We are now having a sale on Copper beads and findings as well as selected Sterling Silver finished chains. The sale is only on until Sunday October 25th so stock up now before we run out.

Artist Exibition...Canada Beading Supply Presents...

 

Kirsty Naray - Glass Artist

Kirsty is no stranger to our store as she has been here many times before. Her creations are all one of a kind and require great precision to make. Come out on Saturday October 17th from 9am to 5pm to see what Kirsty creates. Beads, pendants, broaches and necklaces will be available for purchase.

Visit her website in advance to get a closer look at what sorts of glass beads she will be bringing. We have posted below some of the wonderful designs.

The time has come once again for the Ottawa Gem and Mineral Show. We will be closed on Saturday the 26th of September but we can see us exhibiting at the show on Saturday and Sunday. Hours for the show are 10am to 6pm and 10am to 5pm. For more information click over to the September newsletter. As usual, if there is something specific that you would like us to bring with us, please let us know.

The show is located at 1701 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, ON in the Curling Arena. There is a map in the show section of our website as well. Hope to see you all there.

Summer is almost coming to an end and with that brings our busy show season as well as courses. The Fall courses began last week and they will continue for the next 4 months. This weekend we are exhibiting at the Parrsboro Rockhound Roundup in Nova Scotia. Come by and see Brent and Meredith along with all the new beads and pendant brought in for the fall creations. I have posted the information for the show below and you can find a map in the "Show Schedule" section of our website.

Keep your eyes out for our newsletters that come out monthly as they will tell you where we will be and what is new with us. Don't forget the Fall Rhapsody Design contest that is on now. Deadline for submissions is Saturday September 19th. For full details on the contest, check out the July or August newsletter.

CONGRATULATIONS to Reneé Amodeo of Ottawa. She is the Bead Bop winner from our in store Draw. She has won a gift basket with $50.00 of Canada Beading Supply merchandise and a Gift Certificate for a course this fall.

The Grand Prize winner will be announced this Saturday at Dragon's Lair Beads and posted here on our website next week.
