Summer has arrived!

Greetings everyone:

We are deliberately sending this after Canada Day but we certainly hope you had a great day no matter what you did. Some of us partook of the organised festivities in spite of the rain and some of us spent the day in quieter places. The underlying feeling amongst all of us, however, is that we are so grateful to live in this wonderful country.

Elsewhere in this newsletter we have included some tips for “healthy” beading. Some of us get so wrapped up in our projects that we forget to do some very simple things which are good for our body. If we don’t do some of these things, the cumulative effect can be quite annoying in later years. A case in point is that one of our friends thought nothing of doing handwork 12 hours a day, many days in a row with minimal breaks. Years later she is having great difficulty with her shoulders and lower back.

In July we begin our summer show schedule with trips to Sudbury and then to Bancroft. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have special wishes so that we can make certain what you want is put aside and into the van.

We all wish you a very happy and safe summer!
