Greetings Beading Friends!

We had to laugh when reading this: “Successful creation is nothing more than putting a lot of mistakes together in a way that works. An artist becomes a professional when he learns how to sell his mistakes”. We don’t know who T.B. Pawlicki is but maybe he is thinking about all the mistakes we make as we learn so that finally our creative output is polished. Pawlicki’s comment is well balanced by Bill Reid, a Haida artist: “Joy is a well-made object”. Don’t we all feel better seeing well-made objects, even if we don’t possess them? It is a motivator to continue learning and striving for improvement in our own creative field.

January for us is always “clean-up” month. Getting everything in order always coincides with a noticeable lengthening of daylight hours which is uplifting! For Facebook followers, you might have seen the post the day we were taking inventory. We are always glad when that January chore is finished so that we can move on to developing plans for the next 12 months, including new merchandise and new workshop ideas. If there is anything you would like us to consider, please let us know.

We wish you the very best for a happy and productive February! In case you need an extra dose of love on Valentine’s Day, we will be thinking of you. Our customers are very special people.
