We are on the road this month to two of our favourite gem and mineral shows, which happen to be the longest running shows in Canada!

Courses

Are you looking to learn something new this year? Why not sign up for one of our classes? Note: there are more scheduled for the months ahead. Check the classes page for the details. If there is a technique you are wanting to learn, but don't see a date option available, let us know and we can schedule a date.

Classes must be paid for in advance and there is a maximum of 5 students per class. Fees include a kit.

Saturday August 12th - 9:30 to 12pm - $75
Knotted Mala -  Learn the traditional knotting technique to create a Mala. A tassel will be provided but you will be shown how to make your own.

Saturday August 12th - 1 to 3:30pm - $65
Ruffle Necklace - Using 4 sizes of seed beads, create a peyote stitch scalloped necklace. This technique is labour intensive; you will not complete the project in class. Previous knowledge of peyote is required (this is not a beginner class).

Saturday August 26th - 9:30 to 12pm - $65
Loopy Pendant - Using an assortment of gemstone beads and wire, create a looped pendant. You will also be shown how to make a basic pair of earrings.

Saturday August 26th - 1pm to 3:30pm $65
Wire Wrapped Pendants - Using round, square and half round wire; create a cage to wrap around a stone pendant. Two different styles will be created in this class.

Tuesday August 29th - 1:30 to 4pm - $65
Peyote 2.0 - Take your peyote skills to the next level. Mixing 4 sizes of seed beads, create a wave style bracelet.
