Early Festive greetings everyone!

As we look forward to this month and the upcoming new year, we consider we have so very much for which to be grateful. There is much negative news so it was encouraging to read recently that Canada is number 7 on the list of most free countries! It helped some of us tweak our thinking about our circumstances. So with the giving season upon us, we decided to add something to help people in need.

Beginning on December 1st and until December 17th, we will have a bin (or hopefully many) at the store for drop-offs of non-perishable food, personal hygiene and baby products. For each contribution, you will receive a ballot for a draw on a $50 gift card. That draw will be made at the end of the day on Saturday December 17th. We will also accept financial donations either in-store or online (type food into the search bar on our website to make a donation online). Every contribution is most appreciated by the Food Bank.

For those of you using strung Czech seed beads, please note that we will be gradually offering the colours only in loose format. The manufacturer is having difficulties getting enough "stringers" for the beads. Who knew that they were strung by hand! The good news is that changing over to the loose format will require less human involvement and will mean that your costs won't increase very much, if at all. Prices are increasing but loose seed beads are less expensive than strung. If you like using strung seed beads, you could try using a bead spinner to save you time.

This season often adds a nudge to our creative selves. We hope that the sparkling lights and colour of this festive season provide your with inspiration, joy and happiness.

Wishing you the very best!
