Fall Greetings to our Beading Community!

We are very late issuing an October newsletter! Our excuse is that we have been very busy and then minor health issues interfered with things getting done. We hope all who celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful weekend . We certainly have a lot to be thankful for in this country. There are still many things to improve upon but we are in a very good space considering.

In older newsletters we have mentioned a great book “Big Magic, Creative living Beyond Fear” by Elizabeth Gilbert. One of us had the occasion to look at again. The author has so many inspiring messages. Simply answering the question “what is creativity” with “it is the relation ship between being a human being and the mysteries of inspiration” makes one think of a different angle to our own creative pursuits. She acknowledges that often creative people are afraid of pursuing certain ideas, thinking that you might fail an dhas words of wisdom to help overcome that feeling. She suggests in several sections that inspiration is sent to you and arrives when you least expect it. Sometimes we do not act upon it and then the inspiration disappears. The bottom line though is to keep on trying, exploring so that you are better attuned to the ideas that are sent to you when they arrive. It is a wonderful book describing ideas about living a creative life!
