Summer Greetings Everyone!

We had some unsettling weather for Canada Day in Ottawa this year but national celebration gives one pause for thought and the thoughts lead to gratitude that we live in a wonderful country!

Thinking about the word "creativity" presents many options. This onne from Dr. Seuss is a fun one:

"Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if you only try!"

It is also fun if you substitute "look" for "think". Certainly at this time of year there is so much to stimulate creativity: the colours of plants, birds and insects; colourful summer clothing; colourful vegetable displays at farmers markets and many more. If one is experiencing a creative block, Dr. Seuss has given us a great idea to help move forwar. Creative blocks happen to all of us at one time or another so it is good to have some strategies on hand when one decides to return to the creative world.

We have had a number of people in the store recently getting beading supplies for their summer vacation. Most projects are easily transportable and don't take up too much space. For those of us who liek to have something close by to make with our hands, being prepared with a few beading projects is a great comfort!
