The ONLY gem and mineral show in the Nation's Capital is happening this month. There is always a great deal of excitement for this show as we get to sleep in our own beds! With over 60 vendors, there is something for everyone at the show.

September 30th

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - a day to honour those who never returned home as well as the survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. 

To commemorate the day, Canada Beading Supply will be closed.

We encourage everyone to wear orange to show support and promote that "Every Child Matters". If you would like to bead a pin, here is a template that can be used. It is stitched with odd count peyote and can be made with any size seed bead.

Courses

Are you looking to learn a new technique this month? We are offering 6 classes in September. If there is a technique you are wanting to learn, but don't see a date option available, let us know and we can schedule a date. Classes must be paid for in advance and there is a maximum of 5 students per class. Fees include a kit. Courses may not run if there is only one student signed up. Why not grab a friend and make a day of it?

Friday September 11th - 1:30 to 4pm - $65
Tila & Duo Wrap - Using seed beads, Tila and SuperDuo beads, create a double wrap bracelet.

Saturday September 12th - 9:30 to 12pm - $45
Daisy Chain - Using 8/0 seed beads, create a delicate bracelet with daisies. This technique is great for eye glass chains and lanyards.

Saturday September 12th - 1:00 to 3:30pm - $55
Victorian Lace - Using seed beads and crystals, create a Victorian style lacy necklace.

Friday September 25th - 1:30 to 4pm - $65
Loom Beading 101 - Create a loomed bracelet with Czech seed beads. A take home loom is included in the kit fee.

Saturday September 26th - 9:30 to 12pm - $50
Beaded Ornament - Get a head start on your holiday creations with this ornament class. Using seed beads in a variety of colours, create a beaded net to drape over a round ornament.

Saturday September 26th - 1 to 3:30pm - $60
Wave necklace - Using 4mm beads and 10/0 seed beads, create a wavy style necklace. The same technique can be used with larger beads as well.
