Anniversary Celebrations

June marks the anniversary of when Meredith bought Canada Beading Supply in 1994. The company was a young 10 years old that year and it has grown so much over time. We are thankful for all our wonderful customers and the friendships we have made over all these years.

We are celebrating with a Sale! From Thursday, June 11th to Saturday, June 20th - save 15-25% off Toho seed beads, glass pearls, Preciosa crystals, gemstone beads and beading wire. Discounts will be applied automatically to orders. 

If you are in the Ottawa area, please join us at the store for light refreshments - including cupcakes :) - on Saturday, June 13th from 10-3pm and a few other surprises.

Courses

Interested in learning a new technique? We have 6 classes being offered this month. 

There is a maximum of 5 students per class and classes must be paid for in advance to secure your spot. Fees include a kit.
Courses may not run if there is only one student signed up. Why not grab a friend and make a day of it?

Friday June 12th - 1:30 to 4pm - $45
Peyote 101 - Learn beginner peyote with even count to make a bracelet. This technique can be used in a wide variety of beading projects.

Friday June 19th - 1:45-4pm - $30 for a 30 minute timeslot (max 1 slot per person)
Project Assistance - Has it been a while since you made a certain piece and need help starting or a refresher on how to finish it? Book a 30 minute session where you can ask questions to assist with your project. 
*The original technique must be from a previous class taken here at the store.*
Timeslots available are - 1:45-2:15pm, 2:30-3pm, 3:15-3:45pm, 4-4:30pm

Saturday June 20th - 1pm to 3:30pm - $60
Beaded Kumihimo - Learn the Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo and create a beaded bracelet.

Friday June 26th - 1:30pm to 4pm - $55
Victorian Lace - Using seed beads and crystals, create a Victorian style lace necklace.

Saturday June 27th - 9:30am to 12pm - $65
Beaded Scarf - Using seed beads, create a beaded scarf with a netting technique. This technique is labour intensive; you will not complete the project in class.

Saturday June 27th - 1:30pm to 3pm - $45
Tree of Life - Create a unique tree pendant with Artistic Wire and gemstone chips.

 

July 1st

We will be closed Wednesday, July 1st to celebrate Canada Day and this beautiful country we live in. We hope you are able to get out and enjoy some time with family and friends.
